E&S host major technical seminar - Microbial contamination of fuels & Stage 2 VR testing

Over 40 delegates from all over the UK representing most of the countries leading oil company and hypermarket brands, plus pump manufacturers, bio-fuel blenders, wetstock management companies, industry associations and others, attended a major technical seminar in Oxfordshire on 19th February 2008, hosted by E&S Environmental Services Ltd.

E&S exhibit at the APEA Telford conference & Nobby wins prestigious personal award
Given its success at the FPS show earlier this year, E&S also took a stand at the APEA conference at Telford on October 11th which attracted both existing and new contacts - all keen to learn more about the companies expertise in tank testing, road tanker inspection and testing, fuel polishing and tank cleaning systems and fuel treatment products.

And, at the industry dinner that evening, Nobby won the inaugural APEA Personal Contribution to Industry Award as ‘the individual who has shown the greatest dedication and drive to improve standards, engineering practices and operational procedures’. All agreed that this was a most fitting tribute and a well deserved honour covering his 30 plus years of dedicated service to the petroleum industry

E&S appoint PetroCourt to undertake MassTech testing in Ireland
PetroCourt Ltd of Dublin have been appointed as a sub-license to conduct tank, line and VR testing in Ireland using the MassTech diagnostic testing system. Petrocourt, managed by Tom Melvin, also operate from Ballina in Co. Mayo and will cover the whole country.

E&S gains UKAS accreditation to inspect & test road tanker vehiclesUKAS have awarded E&S formal accreditation as a Type A Inspection Body to undertake periodic examination and certification of road tankers as defined by the Department of Transport DR6 guidelines. E&S, one of the first independent specialist testing companies to gain such accreditation, won praise from UKAS and technical experts for its methods, procedures and innovative testing equipment.

The inspection and testing of road tanker vehicles is now a major business for E&S with many leading fleet operators and fuel distributors among our growing list of customers.   The full scope of the award can be found on www.ukas.com

E&S exhibit at FPS Telford conference
E&S exhibited at this years FPS conference in Telford for the first time and attracted a significant number of visitors to what was regarded as one of the best stands in the show. Existing customers were joined by a number of new contacts and additional business on road tanker testing and VR testing has already been generated as a result.

MassTech hosted worldwide conference for testing licensees
Professor Robert Bridges of MassTech International hosted a conference in Cape Town, S.Africa for all worldwide licensees. Nobby and Sue Clarke represented E&S.

The conference, the first of its kind, covered technical advancement and commercial aspects of leak detection and loss control issues, and the development of future products and systems to enhance environmental compliance. Delegates from Australia, USA, Africa and Europe attended.

DfT appoint E&S as an inspection body for road tanker vehicles
Following UKAS recommendation, the Department for Transport have appointed (provisionally) E&S as a tank inspection body for old tanks against The Carriage of Dangerous Goods and use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2004 (SI 2004/568) (formally Reg. 11 testing). The inspection and testing of road taker vehicles has grown significantly into to a core business and is a natural extension to the companies diagnostic testing specialism.

National Britannia were pleased to again award E&S their prestigious SafeContractor Accreditation Certificate in recognition of the company achieving the required standards in health and safety

E&S Purchase PSL (Yorks) Ltd
E&S completed the purchase of PSL (Yorks) Ltd of Selby as a step in its planned expansion into the Road Tanker Vehicle Inspection & Testing business.

The field-based technicians of PSL have transferred to us, together with the company’s assets, goodwill and customer list. Reg. 11 inspection and testing, including ‘leakproofness’ and PV valve testing, is now added to the core business.

E&S celebrate 30 years in business – 1976 to 2006
Nobby, Sue and all the family host a party in Witney, Oxfordshire for friends and guests to help celebrate the 30th anniversary of being in business. A major achievement for the Clarke family, with the business adapting to changing market and industry circumstances to achieve a record of significant growth and success.

E&S appointed European Master Licensee for MassTech
MassTech International appointed E&S as their European Master Licensee, being only one of four such appointments world wide.

This means that all tank, line and vapour recovery testing within the European Union will either be undertaken by E&S directly, or through carefully selected local companies acting as sub-licensees.

Emba Techniek appointed sub-licensee for Benelux
E&S have signed an agreement with Emba Techniek bv of Dordrecht, a prominent Dutch company, to undertake tank, line and VR testing in Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg, using the MassTech system.

Emba, and their parent company DCM of Belgium, are both engaged in petroleum fuels engineering services, including designing & building retail sites and providing forecourt equipment and metering & control systems.

E&S awarded DNV certification on behalf of Esso Retail
Det Norske Veritas, the internationally renounded auditors of companies management systems, heath, safety & environmental compliance and implementation, awarded E&S their ICSRS Audit Certificate on behalf of Esso Retail.

E&S and MassTech host Technical Seminar

E&S appoint RPS in Dublin as sub-licensee for Ireland
E&S have appointed Retail Petroleum Solutions (RPS) of Dublin as their sub-licensee for the MassTech diagnostic tank, line & VR testing systems for Ireland.

E&S purchase Tank Tec 2000
E&S announce the purchase of customer data base of Tank Tec 2000, the Bristol based company engaged in tank and line testing.
